Putnam Master Gardener Program

The Master Gardener Program is offered by The University of Tennessee Extension. The purpose of the program is to train and certify individuals as horticultural-educated volunteers of The University of Tennessee Extension. Volunteers work in partnership with their counties to expand the educational outreach by providing researched-based information to improve the quality of life with community home garden/landscaping.
These volunteers, known as Extension Master Gardeners, support the Extension Service by:
▪Answering requests for horticultural information
▪Establishing and maintaining demonstration gardens
▪Working with groups in the community
▪Designing and implementing community involvement projects
▪Conducting training programs in the community
